Whispering T'Hy'la
By Segalt of VulcanBeing who I am What I am And where I am There are somethings I may not say Some hopes I may not share Some dreams I dare not dream And yet I do Knowing who you are What you are And as you are There are some words you would not hear For should I speak to you of feelings You would hear only of failings And with polite, silent rejection Turn away from my quiet, desperate words And what is to be gained In naming the source of forbidden feelings A response to loyalty, honesty, integrity Feelings born of knowing you for who you are Will knowing this lend logic to my words Some gifts, it seems are better Never given nor received For what betrays emotion Betrays also the cause of the emotion And so the emotion must remain Forever frozen and without expression I could never forget, nor forswear Your honor, your trust, your place But if you listen carefully You may on occasion find me With you in mind, whispering T'Hy'la
